HOCKEY MEETS COMMUNITY AT RINK OF DREAMS
Rink of Dreams transforms the ice at the Kia Center—home of the Orlando Solar Bears—into something bigger than a game. The event brings together players, family, and the Central Florida hockey community for a night built around giving back, connection, and the shared love of the sport.
For this year’s event, the goal was to create a jersey that captured that same spirit. The result is a design that blends playful creativity with authentic hockey construction, delivering a uniform that feels both unique and right at home on the ice.
The deep navy base provides the foundation, while a vibrant tropical pattern of hibiscus flowers and palm leaves runs across the entire jersey. Bright orange and crisp white striping anchor the design in traditional hockey aesthetics, creating contrast that keeps the look balanced and game-ready.
Across the chest, the Civilians script crest serves as the centerpiece. Styled with classic hockey lettering and framed by a bold outline, the mark ties the jersey together while maintaining clear readability during play. The captain’s designation and shoulder numbering mirror that treatment, reinforcing consistency throughout the uniform.
While the pattern adds personality, the structure keeps the design grounded in the sport’s visual language—striping, crest placement, and classic hockey proportions all working together to maintain a clean, recognizable identity.
DESIGNED FOR THE ICE, BUILT FOR THE EVENT
Behind the visual design is a construction approach built around real hockey performance. The jersey uses lightweight sublimated materials that maintain durability while allowing for full mobility through every stride, pass, and shift.
Sublimation allows complex patterns like the tropical motif to be integrated directly into the fabric without adding weight or stiffness. The result is a jersey that feels breathable and comfortable while maintaining the visual depth of the design.
Reinforced seams and a pro-style cut ensure the jersey holds its shape during gameplay, while the traditional hockey silhouette keeps the fit familiar for players stepping onto the ice at the Kia Center.
Every element—from the striping layout to the crest placement—was developed with the understanding that the jersey would be worn in a real game environment, not just displayed.
